Barack Obama (Democrat) 3

Obama ran a better campaign than McCain...partially this is because he had the most money.  Hundreds of millions are spent on a seat that pays 500k a yr. I don't get it. It's like the Yankees playing the Yankees.  To me, I don't find a hell of a lot of difference b/w Obama and McCain.  However, I would tend to favor Obama on things like Supreme Court nominations and things like that....but to those of you thrilled w/Obama's candidacy, don't expect this war to end or something of that nature (he said himself that he now has to 'review things').  I tip my hat to Obama though because he defeated Hillary Clinton's ugly ass.

In the long run, to take a page from Nader, Obama was a D+ and McCain was a D- (I voted for Nader by the way).  Generally, as I've said before, things go in waves including a bad economy and wars.  Bad things happened under Clinon, good things happened under Clinton, bad things under Bush, good things under Bush....Bad things will happen under Obama, and good things will happen under Obama.  But guess what??, you can still do the things you want to do...no matter who wins the election.  For instance, I did my laundry tonight..no matter who won, I would do my laundry anyway :)  My life isn't going to change if Obama or McCain is President, and this country isn't either.  To borrow a quote from George Carlin: what are you gonna do, read People magazine and eat at Wendy's the rest of your life, take a fu*king chance??

I really have to disagree. If you notice in 2006, the Democrats were elected to end the war in Iraq and fix the economy. None of this happened. How will Obama be different. In regard to the economy, people claimed there was a recession under Bush, Clinton, Bush, and people will say the same about Obama. I really believe that things change under whoever gets elected. The markets will go up no matter who wins, and then down, and then back up. On the international front, McCain had more experience on defense-no doubt about it...I wouldn't call North Korea much of a threat as they ceased their nuclear options. In regard to Africa, I think the US needs to realize the problems in Sudan and Zimbabwe for example, but they won't involve themselves in this. I'm not much of an expert on anything (besides shampoo), so I'll leave it at that. Just be glad you don't have to look at Hillary for the next four years.
