DeVry University 1

DeVry is a complete rip off. Do not go!!! The recruiters will lie to you. The courses are a joke. I went there with an AA from an accredited college and they lied to me when I signed up and told me that I would graduate in 2 years. Then after I was going they told me 4 years so I dropped out after taking 2 classes. Now I owe them $4500!!!!! DeVry and the people that work there are scumbags.

I completely agree w/ you naqaisu! I was in my 2nd week...week one, I could not down load my books. They said they were having technical problems. Now I'm one week behind. Week 2, down loaded the wrong book. I w/drew from the classes and they are trying to charge me $1090. for 2 weeks of classes and the E Books! I said "I didn't even get the books!" Too bad, you could have gone into another program to get the books. How am I suppose to know that! Everyone I emailed or talked to on the phone didn't give me any other options, not even my profs, when I emailed them! Every time I talked to some one I got a different answer! No communication there and no tech support. Tech support never even called me back or emailed me. What a joke! I have one degree already, but I'd like to get further in my career. Obviously I passed the classes at one University so I'm sure I can do the work, if I can get the work! DON'T GET INVOLVED W/ THIS SCHOOL!

And I can't disagree more. Why didn't you look at their course list and talk with their councelor's about planning your degree? They even have web based "degree navigator" software on their student portal website that you can use to plan out all of your courses through to graduation. I'm left with the feeling either you're a competitive school's "plant" or such a bad student you can't even think or plan for yourself. Either way you both seem like frauds to me.

DeVry doesn't even "charge" you for classes or books until a month after the session has started. My wife withdrew from a couple of courses last summer and they've gone out of their way to help her reimburse most of the costs even though she didn't withdraw until near the end of the courses. I feel you guys are either talking about a different DeVry University or you're not being honest.
