There is no more efficient protein source than livestock. The size to quality protein ratio is the best on the market, thus the higher price of red meats.

Untrue. Animal protein is one of the most inefficient sources of complete protein. Soy Beans are far more efficient, lower in cholesterol and end up being fed to livestock.
