Polaris Sportsman 400/500/600/700 4

i have a 03 700 sportsman good machine but even with the 4x4 off when you break the rear tires loose the fronts kick in. this doesn't seem right to me, is this right?

what that is is that your 4wd system is automatic. and you can flick it on manually. but when your back tires slip the 4wd system kicks in to help your traction. nothing to be concerned about. if you'll look it up in the instruction manual it'll mention that. what you have been experiencing is perfectly normal.

what your are experiencing is not normal.dont listen to him you need to change your front differential fluid!use polaris fluid only everything else fails.mine was doing the same thing .with your 4x4 button off you should only have rear wheels spinning,fronts will only kick in with 4x4 on!!!!good luck
