Innova EVO Dog Food 3

My american staffordshire (pitbull) is 13 weeks and still get's diarrhoea. We got the puppy at 8 weeks and have been feeding him EVO Red Meat Small bites ever since. The diarrhoea was looked at by a vet to make sure it wasn't parvo and everything came back negative. I am convinced it has something to do with the food, but I'm hesitant on switching to something else because i've heard such great reviews about EVO. I tried a suggestion by adding some plain yogurt, but that appeared to make the stool more watery.

The stool is more of a soft, ice-cream type base. I feed my puppy about a cup 3 times a day. I do not know what i should try at this point. Any suggestions? Should i try mixing the food with something else?

I would recommend giving your dog small amounts(tsp or tbsp) of canned regular pumpkin. It works wonders for both diarrhea and constipation. Good luck with your transition !

This food is not recommended for young puppies, WAY too much protien. Try regular Innova instead.

Correct - this is no puppy food. If your dog has the runs - even with the correct food - try pumpkin in a can or activated charcoal - that always helps. If not - see the vet please.

Why are you feeding this to your puppy? It is a way too early. And Yogurt? You have to do more research before you feed anything to your dog. I agree with other people, try pumpkin. that's the best.

Alot of dogs have trouble with red meat, I have my pitt mix on EVO and she is doing great but I only give her the chicken, watch over feeding, since this food doesn't have fillers the dog will use most of the food, requiring less...I would double check the bag for the proper amount...
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with feeding your dog yogurt, so if you do that research you'll see that you were fine there.
