Nightmare Before Christmas 5

I think this film is probably more appropriate for Halloween than for Christmas. In my opinion, the Tim Burton/Danny Elfman combo creates magic. They are both quirky, highly imaginative, and charming in that odd style of theirs. The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride made that lasting impression on me and once in a while I watch them when I am in the mood. Other than the dark humor of Burton, the musics in these two films are of high calibur as well. Groove to the tune of Oogie Boogie Song and you almost don't feel sorry for that big red lobster man being chained to the chair. Once in a blue moon listen to that Sally's Song and lose yourself in that simple but haunting melody of hers. Listen to Jack's Lament when you get tired of working with the incompetent co-workers then you may just feel like you're up for more challenges. I think The Nightmare Before Christmas is completely under-appreciated for its artistic and psychological content that most children cannot yet understand.
