After reading many of the complaints I do have to agree. I graduated in Match of '08 with a BA in Business Admin. I found the classes to be sometimes challenging but overall it was easy as long as you did the work. Now I have a degree and have been aggressively sending out resumes, still not hired. I alwasy wondered why my advisor was constantly changing. The first one who pressured me into taking Business Admin classes was so positive that those were the subjects that I should take after telling her many times that I wanted to learn more about computers. I then realized that my classes were more about business management. I still did very well but did not like the fact that being new to the school thing was directed into courses that really were not what I wanted. In other words I put my faith in the advisor because she sounded like she knew what she was talking about....wrong. Many of my classmates (not all) had the intelligence and grammar skills of one that would be in the 5th grade. I found that very odd and goes to show that they took anyone into their school. Many of the teachers were excellent and a good handful were horrible. I would have to say that the school is a degree mill. There is no possible way to retain so much information in such a quick amount of time. Yea I got a hight grade avg, I got my degree, i did all of the work..big deal. I would have retained and learned more from a brick and mortar school. So far employers that I have interviewed with could care less about my degree from CTU. It has done nothing for me other than put me more into debt. So answer this question. If they are such a great school, why do the y go through and assign so many advisors to one student? My advisor changed more than the wind changes direction.
