I can't believe the shit I'm reading on this site. From the reviews of read of this University alone it appears that the only people writing reviews are huge tools or self-absorbed assholes with no self-confidence. To the person below me, when you say it's just as hard to girls in college as it is high school....maybe it has nothing to do with the school bud. I think it might be you. In fact if you can't find a nice girl at this school there has to be something wrong with you. And is it really the schools fault that you only hang out with your high school friends. Come on man, get out and meet people. I agree fraternities are a great way to meet people, but if you are really as bad at socializing as your writing makes you sound I seriously doubt you will be able to get into one.

I'm sorry to anyone that is here looking to get a real review, I needed to get that out of my system.

You see the problem is I think that the University of Illinois might be simply one of the best Universities in the entire country. There is plenty of hard evidence to back it up, but I'm sure none of you are really concerned with the facts on why we are so academically good. If you wanted that you'd pick up a Princeton review.

So here's the deal, there is something for everyone at this school. There are so many people, interested in so many things at this school that you never know what you could be getting yourself into when you get out of bed in the morning. U of I has the largest greek life in the country, which is really cool. It's a great way to meet people, particularly girls, and to get involved. If that's not for you there are over 1000 registered clubs on the campus. Everything from glowsticks to midnight rollerblading has its own club. Hell, they even have a skydiving club. They just got a 300 million dollar, state of the art gym. You can sign up for all sorts intramurals and classes at the gym. They even have a rock climbing wall, and an enormous outdoor (as well as indoor) pool at this bad boy. Then there's another gym across campus. There are tennis courts every where.

If you're still not interested Illinois has one of the best music scenes in the country. If you ever even make a stop at this amazing campus take a look at canopy club. They get hundreds of shows a year, and you'll hear everything from Yonder Mountain String band (u of I grads), Umphrey's, Jack Johnson to gwar damn it! Chicago bands love this place, and you could seriously go see a cool band every week. They even have piano man tuesday nights, and pizza and movie nights sundays. What else could you ask for.

The buildings are gorgeous. Green street has every kind of food and bar. Downtown Champaign has great bars for the older crowd who are sick of shitty bars. Campus bars are great for cheap, sloppy drinking. There are still always house and apartment parties.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!
