I put my AmStaff on the Innova EVO Red Meat Large Bites and he loves it. I just put a little bit of warm water in his food and he eats it up no problem. This is great food just don't feed it to your Large breed puppies because the protein level will make them grow too fast and they'll have problem with their joints and muscles later in life.

Since the protein level is so high and creates that risk for large breed puppies- what do you suggest as an alternative?
Wellness? Blue Buffalo?

Wellness and Blue Buffalo are very good brands, but for Large breed puppies get a large breed puppy food. Chicken Soup large breed puppy is another good brand same with Innova large breed.
