As do many milatary families, they chose the Rocky Mt. Corridor for their last posted duty and bought a new house in a suburb with good schools. They didn't know Littleton CO had the 4th highest teen suicide rate. Two years later their son had killed himself and 14 others. This does not excuse the son, but implicates the troubled community whose chemical composition was explosive, given the right added ingredient. As a military brat, I understand how hard it is to make friends. They don't want to waste time on you since you will be leaving soon. A spirit of inclusion would foster a less threatening school community. Not coincidentally, a predominantly fundamentalist Christian community shares the same exclusiveness: "I'm a Christian and you're not." Blaming one kid is a bit simplistic!
