Canidae All Life Stages 5

Finally, some quality reviews that Canidae deserves! I am an owner of a independent pet store that is selling well over 50 bags of Canidae a week. It was, and still is my top seller, by far. Sure, I had my share of dogs that didn't take to the new formula, but nothing like these embelished horror stories that are popping up on these so-called consumer sites. These stories are highly exagerated, and seem to mirror each other over and over. C'mon people, a little millet and barely isn't the issue here, the competition is. I remember the days when vendors had to come into my store to begrade another food, now they can do it on these chat rooms and blogs. For crying out loud, there isn't a post that doesn't have a reference to the "new" food that their dog is doing so wonderful on. Heak, one of the recent posts even has a link to their shamlessly plugged food. Where does it end???

It's nice to see that all you dog nutrition experts have your facts straight. First of all it's millet, not millot, secondly millet is used in a majority of high-end foods, and not the ones that you will find in Petsmart. Being the knowlegable pet food customers that you are, I would assume that you have thumbed through your Whole Dog Journal, and who is making the majority of the top foods in there, that right Diamond! Please, get your facts straight prior to making a post, it will do us all some good!!!

Class Action filed against the makers of Canidae Dog Food
Admin | January 27, 2009 5:16 pm
Madison, Wisconsin, January 26, 2009 – A class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of dog owners nationwide against the makers of CANIDAE brand dog food, seeking payment of veterinarian bills for dogs who allegedly took ill after consuming the food between last summer and the present. The lawsuit also asks the Court to order the defendants, Canidae Corporation and Diamond Pet Foods, to launch a corrective informational campaign. Affected dogs have experienced rectal bleeding, loose and bloody stools, lethargy, and death, according to consumer complaints posted on internet forums and websites.

“We can’t push back the clock: if hundreds or thousands of dogs have suffered, that can’t be reversed. But the lawsuit at least gives dogs and their owners an avenue for redress,” stated Ilan Chorowsky, one of the plaintiff’s lawyers with the Progressive Law Group, which has offices in Madison, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois. The Animal Law Center, Rosner & Mansfield LLP, and Doyle Lowther LLP also represent the plaintiff.

Further information about the lawsuit is available at www.dogfoodclassaction.com.

personalityplus, you have a terrible poker face! You and your second screen name, doodleowner are the only posts that keep coming back, time and time again. There is no way that the average pet food consumer is posting like you are, which leads me and everyone else to beleive that you have a VESTED intrest in the pet food industry.

I read through the www.dogfoodclassaction.com and no where in it does is state that there has been any legal action taken towards Canidae. The web site itself looks like a law firm that hasn't even reached "ambulance chaser" status. Instead, they have listed several symptoms and please click here if we can help you, they are just fishing. Death, really now, wouldn't the FDA be involved if dogs were dying? You are a hoax and so is this witch hunt.

Thank god for COMMON SENSE...

Factsplus and Petlady. I'm out of work and I am hoping you two may put in a good word for me at Canidae. I'm a pet owner and pet lover, and I could help you two blog all day raving about how Canidae can cure cancer and make pets live 20 years and longer. You two are welcome to share what is left of the Canidae dog food that put my previously healthy pet in the vets for days. I have owned many dogs during my life and not one of them almost died while slowly changing over to a new dog food. Doesn't sound "NEW AND IMPROVED" to me. FDA is too busy with "people" food problems. They don't have time for "pet" problems. Most of our local pet food stores that carried Canidae have stopped, but not all. Until then, I will continue to tell everyone what it did to my dog.
