Palestra (University of Pennsylvania)

reviewed by Lena

The Palestra was given its name by a University of Pennsylvania Greek professor. In ancient Greece a Palestra was a rectangular enclosure where men and women competed in various events. The Palestra opened in 1927 and has a capacity of over 8,700.

The Palestra is great! Granted I'm biased because I saw Temple Owls totally OWN Penn here ;)

hey! It's a good thing the PENN kids didn't chant

"It's alright,
It's okay,
They're gonna work for
US someday!"

All in good fun. Glad you liked the Palestra. . .

LOL!

Sad and probably true for many TU Alumni who stick around the Philly area. Wharton is a great biz school :) and philly was getting more gentrified by the minute while I attended school there.
