General Bugs and Missing Features 1

Now that I've got a bit of the New Technology down, here's my biggest peeve: It's that damn "Everyone" feature. Let's say I'm 2 or 3 "pages" down and I maneuver away from the page to read a comment, or check out a new reviewer...or whatever...in order to come back to where I left off, I have to go back to the top, click on "Everyone" and scroll through the "View Mores" until I find my place. In V2, merely hitting the back button on my browser did the trick. I can flow with the Feng Shui, but that IS a hassle...

Am I missing something, here?

Another Question: Do we, or do we not yet have the ability to copy and paste a photo into a review? I can't seem to get it to work. Thanks

Personally I cannot stand the new layout and will give it a one star rating. My question Ridgewalker is why did you rate it five stars (great) when you have problems with it? IMHO, 5 stars should be reserved for something that is without serious flaws.

Actually, I changed it to *1*. I thought the *5* might have meant "really a great hassle". But, alas...

This would be my one major complaint as well. What I've started doing is opening new windows for when I want to stray away from the main feed (i.e., to read a comment, etc.), so that I don't have to go back and start from the very top of the feed when I navigate back to it. I wonder if there's a better way around this problem?

Automatt and I were just talking about the need to "remember" a view when you page away from the feed.

We've been to the Moon and back, so I'm sure this can be ironed out. At least you've found a way to adapt, sperry. On the flip side, there is something that I do find pretty cool. It's the filtering system. While we have our filters turned on to...let's say..."reviews only", other streams are going on simultaneously. As we review, for instance, Longtail is doing his thing (prolifically, I might add) and it doesn't affect anything else. Ditto for the no-comment speed raters...

When I think of it soon enough, I open in a new tab, take care of whatever business I want to do, close the new tab, and go back to where I was on the thread.

The old deal was easier for forgetful old geezers like myself.

We also don't seem to be able to post a link. It will show the url, but not as a link. Of course I might be the problem, but I couldn't get it to work.

Ridgewalker commented 317 days ago.
Good morning, 'git....soooooo, you think you'e the problem? Okay, then, why don't you log off and turn your computer off (turn monitor towards the wall)for around 1/2 an hour and we'll see if you are, in fact, the problem...

irishgit commented 317 days ago.
Thats worth a try. Logging off in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..........

Shane! Shane! Come back, Shane! Come back!

irishgit commented 317 days ago.
Wait a minute, that's kind of an alarming comparison. You realize that Shane is dying at the end of the movie don't you? Or was that your point?

Ridgewalker commented 317 days ago.
I don't think that's what the kid meant. I'm not even sure he even realized that Shane was shot...But in your case, if you come back, I'll offer you a shot, or two. What's your pleasure?

Ridgewalker commented 317 days ago.
Time for my early siesta before second breakfast. I'll leave the bottle and a glass out for you, 'git. Make yourself at home...

irishgit commented 317 days ago.
Thanks for the hospitality Ridge. Don't mind if I pour myself a little fog cutter this grey and dank morning. You don't mind if I put my feet up, light the fire, and turn on some Cannonball Adderley, do you?
