Charter Cable TV 4

We have had DirecTV for years in Florida. When we moved to the mountains in North Carolina, we found that our new house was connected to Charter Cable. After reading the reviews on this web-site and seeing Charter's rating in "Consumer Reports," we were horrified and immediately called DirecTV. Sadly we found that we had trees and a mountain in the way of their satellites and that was the end of DirecTV.
That's when we reluctantly looked into Charter. We found out the TV, broadband and phone bundle, was an extreamly good deal!
While we have had some minor problems, which keeps me from giving them a five star, but it seem Charter's customer and technical support teams have been reading these reviews too, as they seem to go out of their way to be polite and helpful, and are knowledgeable on their products. They have even given me assistance on computer problem that are only partly connected to Charter's service.
I think the key in dealing with Charter's Customer Service is: if you don't pull an "attitude" on them, they'll "bend-over-backwards" to be helpful to you.

RE: The bend over backwards observation. You were blessed and you are an exception. I've been cordial withe them and proceeded to be run over with nonsense.

The ONLY time you get results from them is threatening to yank the service or clearly expressing your frustration. I'm usually very level headed even in the midst of challenging situations but Charter's lack of concern for their customers would have Job going postal. They stink.

I was nice to them. Why wouldn't I be? I purchased my modem and router and was thrilled at the opportunity to finally have a great bundle at a great price. But I can assure you and anyone else who is considering getting service from them, that the days of bending over backwards are over if ever they existed. You have had a very rare experience. I hope you enjoy your service with them and never have to go through what I went through. Charter sucks beyond words. The only nice conversation that I had with Charter was when the salesman quoted me a sweet price for what I would soon discover to be the worst service of my life. Best wishes to you. Sincerely.

Its pretty obvious that they suck. They suck badly enough pay this guy eric to respond to negative reviews. It is easier than having eric or any other charter employee actually DO anything.
