Jentezen Franklin 1

I watched a few videos and have thought about visiting Free Chapel. Im a member of another church in the area. I find it strange that Jentezen Franklin has started a church in CA when there are so many lost people right here in North GA. There must be a lot of additional cost involved with distance. Im not saying its wrong but if anyone wants to commit or explain how to justify it I would be thankful. To me is SEEMS that a pastor that has a church on the west coast and east is not only expanding his ministry but trying to become famous at the same time, I'm not syaing thats so but it makes me feel that way.

Can anyone tell me how much money is spent in the airfair, hotel or living quarters, meals transportation, how many travel each time that the church pays for , the total cost, of each trip back and forth. Is it unfair for me to know these things if I were a member and tithe my money at Free Chapel. Please commit

Rick Warren is already working hard in CA and many others. My personal belief is that a pastor should take care of his own flock, expand, grow in the region or area he lives.

Please dont think Im bashing, Im only curious because there are so many pastors that use that privilege and position to promote themselves.

Im extreamly conservative and concerned. I have read so many wonderful things about him I just hope its so. The one star is only to draw attention for a commit back. I do not know enough to make a honest rating but Im trying.

My wife and I are members of Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia, and have been for about two years now. As for your question regarding the new church I can only say it is an act of God. This was not something that just happened, and was not Pastor Franklin's plan. It all started in March of 2007 at a Wednesday night service. The service seemed a little different since Jentezen could not seem to preach his message. Everytime he started to preach the word something would happen and his attention would speed in that direction. Understand that this was not a bad thing since everything he was being attentive to was spiritual; however, it was as if God was saying not to preach. I think this was in large part due to the fact that the message (prophecy) given later in the night was meant to be given that night, and God did not want anything to keep this from coming to past. After a while of talking, Pastor started reading scripture out of Psalms, and finished up shortly after that. Pastor knew the man who was given the message, since he was someone that God had used in the church before. However, Jentenzen did not know the message. Pastor called the man to the pulpit, and stated that he had a message for the church. The man begin to speak, and within 20 minutes the church understood that God was called our Pastor and our church to a much larger ministry. I remember part of the message being that God told Jentezen to "expand his habitation for the flood gates were already being released". Months down the road we had another message given (mothers day) that confirmed what was already said. It was only after a trip to California to promote his book "Right People, Right Place, Right Plan" that he stumbled across what God had planned. Understand that this was all a miracle of God, and not something the church or Pastor went looking for. It all fell into our laps. However, since we already had the message given by God about what was going to happen, when it happened, we knew what to do. If you would like additional info, or would like to hear the message, contact me at my email... narm8404@yahoo.com

I would like to add one other comment. It is frustrating that people feel the way they do about Pastor Franklin. However, I am reminded of the words of Jesus when he said that a servent is not better then his master, and thus we as Christians would suffer for our acts of obdience just as Jesus did. Also consider my fellow brothers and sisters what exactly it was that Jesus dealt with the most during his ministry: His Identity.
