Kirkland Super Premium Chicken and Rice

We feed the Kirkland puppy food to our 9 week old puggle. When the breeder told me she fed her dogs kirkland, I was skeptical. She had been using Nutro, but it was on the 2007 recall list. She said Kirkland has a high score on the dog food scoring guide. After doing some research and checking out the dog food scores, she was totally right, it scored over 100. Its not a holistic or organic dog food, but it has simple ingredients with the first two being meat, and no corn, soy, or wheat. Our puppy has solid stools (sorry to be graffic!), and seems to really love it. Its so affordable, and while you can only get it at Costco, I think I paid $12 for a 20 lb. bag. We might not always keep him on it, but for now its working out great and helping with the house training. He is a little gas-y, but its getting better as he adjusts. I would recommend it to anyone, although of course, there are better foods out there (people have recommended Merrick and Natural Balance as higher quality foods). For people looking for quality but watching their wallets, Kirkland is a good choice.
