WildBlue 1

it is slow...it cost me $300.00 dollars for equipment plus $150.00 for a 3" pole....they didn't tell me about the extra ripp off for the pole...so I spent almost $500.00 for nothing....I have had to call them 5 are more times because of slow.... real slow service....but they want to charge me $95.00 more dollars per hr...$95.00 PER HR... to send out a tech to see what the problem is...even tho I called them 3 times within the 90 day period...This is a big rip off company...if they would give you the service and equipmen for free it still would not be woth the money are time....I would rather have my dial-up....they said it would cost me $620.00 to cansel my service...Imagine that.....dial up is better

Just tell them where to shove it. The signup agreement is illegal. and they know it. Walk away...seal them off from accressing your account...and walk into the sunset. You will hear from their legal department...and their surrogate Saturn Systems...but just throw anything you get into the trash, and walk away...nothing will happen. Been there and done that.

Here is what I don't get: they charge you to discontinue their "service" that does not work as they advertise! It's false advertising! I know when Chris gets the refund for a charge for a "free" repair service hits his account, he's going to close it and get WildBlue discontinued. He argues with lawyers and realtors all day long, I'm confident in his ability to argue and threaten WildBlue.

Plus, they're crooks. Chris was going to be "leasing" the equipment for two years. The first bill he gets (which is direct withdrawal from his checking account) was WAY over the $60/month package we chose. Chris called and asked them why it was so much. They claimed he would save more in the long run if he went ahead and paid for "lease" in one lump sum. They did NOT ask him if he wanted to pay it in one lump sum, but instead took it out if his account without his permission.

I, personally, feel the reason they did this was because they KNOW most customers don't keep their "service" (which is non-existant in the first place) for the two years and end up cancelling it. Then they add more cancellation fees on top of the lump sum lease...

This truly disgusts me.
