CVS number one goal is to provide outstanding service and value to their customers — while meeting their healthcare needs and making their overall shopping experience as easy as possible.

CVS/Pharmacy 1

In their ad this week they had a sale on Folger's coffee, 2 for about the price of one. I was low on coffee so I decided to pick this up since they are right down the street.

After brewing a cup of coffee and having a few sips, I noticed the coffee did not taste the way I remember Folger's tasting, it tasted very stale. I looked at the expiration dates, and BOTH CANS OF COFFEE WERE EXPIRED from last year! I went back to CVS to find that about 75% of the Folger's cans that were on sale were expired with 2008 dates.

So CVS determines what's on sale by what's EXPIRED instead of getting rid of the merchandise! I never thought this company would sink THAT low!

Though I do not disagree with the whole "disgusting" situation. The determination is not based on expiration. The reason the store has so many expired products, is because the company skimps on employee work hours. There are not enough employees to find expired products on the shelf or in the overstock areas. Either that, OR there is someone not doing their job (mostly cause the manager in charge is too lazy). Either way, if you get a stale product... don't return it, and call the local news. Just my advice.
