Outback Steakhouse

My opinion is based on the location on Bethel Road in Columbus, Ohio. I had never eaten at the Outback before. The people were very friendly but the waiter went on and on about the "world famous bread". He brought the bread and it looked like a brown sub bun. We tasted this world famous bread and it had no taste! Okay, where is the hook here? It really had no taste. You coulld have blindfolded us and served us a plain hotdog bun and it would have been the same. My wife and myself both tried to figure it out but still, no taste. The butter was watery, tasted like cheap butter. We gave it up and didn't eat it. The rest of the meal? Was okay, nothing much to say. On the salty side maybe. So I get home and try to figure out how this nothign bread is world famous and I see lots of rants about how great it is. Honey wheat bread with honey butter? Not at the location I was at. If the bread in Columbus Ohio had honey in it, it was a tiny, tasteless drop and the honey butter? No way. That was some cheap cut down butter, nothing close to any honey butter. That location is either doing things on the cheap or they are getting ripped off by their supplier.
