Good place to go for engagement settings and wedding bands, but their Diamonds are over priced (as most B&M jewelers are). You can buy much higher quality diamonds online for about 60% of the price.

Everyone that works there seems very friendly, but do not know that much about diamonds, even though they claim to. Typically, jewelers should know much more then just the infamous "4Cs", but they were not even familiar with what Ideal-scope/Aset-scope images are (images used by labs to detect how well the diamond will perform) nor did they know much about well-proportioned pavilion/crown angles on a diamond. With just a few hours of research anyone would be able to exceed the knowledge of most people working there.

Despite their limited knowledge of their over priced diamonds, they do seem to be quite nice and patient compared to other B&M jewelers, which is something that I value.

Did you check out the AGS certified Peerless? It also has a Gemex report to show it's sparkle analysis based on proportion. An Aset scope or Ideal scope is used generally in lab settings. Don't you think that AGS is the most regimented lab in the industry with an even stricter eye on clarity? Often time I find a clarity grade on an AGS stone would be graded a 1/2 grade higher at at many other labs. Stricter is better. I have shopped for a diamond at many stores and online but found online disconnected to me and my needs on a personal level. I did not find a 60% difference in prices, on occasion I even found stones less at Jared. The personal attention with the services I can use anytime was far more important long term.
