Borat - The Movie

reviewed by fitman

From the submitter: "The fearless Kazaki reporter is sent to the US to "build cultural understanding" (and to kidnap Pamela Anderson in order to make her his wife). What follows is one of the most outrageous, hilarious and shocking comedies in years!"

Borat - The Movie 4

Some scenes aren't so great, and this movie could have stood a more vigorous edit, but for the most part Borat exposes common everyday bigotry in a most entertaining manner.

I may have missed some of the better bits because I never made it all the way through. I do think it was a pretty effective look at some of the ugliness that lives under rocks in North America.

Overall though I found it a little like an extended Jay Leno talks to the common man skit, exploiting people's stupidity for the entertainment of others. I guess in an age where we all spend our time watching reality TV that is considered high art.
