Allegiant Air 1

If I could, i would rate it a NO STAR! The absolute worst airline ever!!!
I booked a flight with Allegiant Air to Las Vegas. They charge you $13 for a convenience fee, 10 for a 911 security fee and 30 for checking in 1 luggage. On the day of the flight there was a 2 hr delay due to "technical difficulty". On the way back, there system was down and they were taking 2 hrs just to check-in!! Thank God I went to the airport 3 hrs in advance. Not to mention that there was nothing served on the plane because it was a "short flight" from Santa Barbara. When we landed in Santa Barbara the plane sounded like it dipped into the ground. As a result, the luggage door is jammed and they have to fly the plane back to Vegas to have the technical mechanics to try to open it. As soon as the door is open they will not send our luggage back immediately but wait til the next flight which is not until 3 days later! DO NOT EVER FLY WITH ALLEGIANT! IT IS NOT CHEAP AND IT HAS THE WORST SERVICE!

You can't control the convenience fee.

The 9/11 fee is federally mandated.

All airlines are charging for checked bags. Pay it or don't check one in. Regardless, all fees are published on the website, so if you are surprised, it's your own fault.

I would rather a flight be delayed due to a "technical difficulty" than compromise safety.

The "dip" may have been caused by weather, etc.

And in this day and age few airlines serve anything.

For all I know, I got my luggage after 4 days because it was sent back to Las Vegas for technicians to open the compartment. The "dip" happened on a sunny Santa Barbara day and the delay happened more than 3 times according to one of the frustrated customers standing in line with me! In this day and age, maybe few US airlines serve anything but I have never flew in Asia when they did not serve drinks/snacks. It's called competition. AND I have never seen an airline service so stubborn and hotheaded when they are the ones responsible for the delays, luggage difficulty, and inconvenience. Bottom line, this was the first time I flew w/ Allegiant and definitely will be the LAST time.
