I sold this crap for a short time. First thing is. You do NOT need a pole mount. Walk around with the installer and look for yourself see if you can get a clear view of the sky from your house. If not. Then you need a pole mount. Never run the cable over 75 ft. If you do, you will have slow service and equipment problems. Also, run Firefox browser. Internet Explorer is very slow with Wildblue. If you have to run the cable over 75 feet, then move your computer closer to where the Satellite is mounted.
If you can not move your computer with-in the 75 ft. then buy a wireless router and hook it with-in the 75 ft. The best router for Wildblue is the Netgear rangemax. It has a blue dot on the side about the side of a quarter. Make sure you get that one. If you dont you will have problems. The 1000kbs speed is much faster than the 500 kbs and you can run a couple of computers at the same time. The 1500 is no faster than the 1000kbs. You can try the higher speeds for one mouth. If you don't see that it is faster then you can call before the month is over and drop the higher speed back down. You will only be billed for the one month. ALWAYS sign up with the 500kbs speed. You can always go up in speed, but you can NOT go down on the contract.

GET A 2ND PHONE LINE AND SIGN UP WITH DRAGON INTERNET. IT WILL BE FASTER AND CHEAPER AND THEY HAVE REAL PEOPLE WHO WILL TALK TO YOU OVER THE PHONE IF YOU NEED HELP WITH JUST ABOUT ANYTHING.
WE UPGRADED OUR WILDBLUE TO THE NEXT HIGHER LEVEL PACKAGE AND ALL WE GOT WAS LESS FAP NOTICES AND SLOWER SPEEDS. THEIR FAP SPEED REDUCTION WOULD BE GREAT IF THEY COULD RUN THAT FAST!
