IF YOU CAME HERE TO LEARN ABOUT WILDBLUE, DO NOT STOP WITH
JUST MY POST. READ MANY AND ALSO READ THE COMMENTS,
ESPECIALLY WHERE THERE ARE MULTIPLE COMMENTS.

YOU WILL LEARN MANY THINGS TO BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT
AND YOU WILL ALSO GET A FEW CHUCKLES TOO!

IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT SIGNING UP FOR WILDBLUE SATELLITE INTERNET SERVICE, YOU HAD BETTER READ ALL THESE POSTS AND THINK AGAIN BEFORE MAKING A COMMITMENT TO PAY FOR SERVICE YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE.
THE FOLLOWING IS ONLY A SMALL SLICE OF MY OPINIONS ABOUT THESE RIP OFF ARTISTS!
WILDBLUE HAS NEVER RESPONDED TO ANY OF MY REQUESTS FOR HELP.
I STARTED CONTACTING THEM THE VERY NEXT DAY AFTER WE HAD OUR DISH INSTALLED.
THE REASON WE WENT WITH WILDBLUE WAS BECAUSE OF THE GREAT
SIGNAL WE GET FROM DISH NETWORK FOR TV.
I HAVE INSTALLED A FEW DOZEN C BAND DISH SYSTEMS MYSELF AND AFTER I PURCHASED MY NEW DISH NETWORK SATELLITE TV SYSTEM FROM RADIO SHACK, I INSTALLED THE DISH 500 SYSTEM AND HAVE NEVER HAD THE FIRST PROBLEM WITH IT OR THE SIGNAL.
EVEN DURING THUNDERSTORMS WE MAY HAVE A DROPOUT FOR A FEW SECONDS, BUT IT COMES RIGHT BACK.
WITH WILDBLUE YOU CAN NEVER DEPEND UPON SERVICE AND YOU WILL NEED TO EITHER KEEP YOUR DIALUP OR GET A DIALUP SERVICE FOR WHEN YOU MUST HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET.
WITH THE WILDBLUE SYSTEM, SINCE IT TRANSMITTS TO THE BIRD IN ORBIT, I HAD TO HAVE WILDBLUE'S FCC LICENSED TECH INSTALL THE SYSTEM DUE TO LEGAL REQUIREMENTS.
THE INSTALLER DID NOT HAVE AN FCC LICENSE BECAUSE I ASKED HIM.
THE INSTALLER WAS ON HIS CELL PHONE WITH ANOTHER PERSON SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE INSTALL. ON ONE OF HIS CALLS I HEARD HIM ANSWER A QUESTION HE HAD BEEN ASKED OVER HIS PHONE ABOUT THE SIGNAL QUALITY NUMBERS... HE ANSWERED IT WAS 68% AND GOOD ENOUGH. I ASKED HIM ABOUT IT AND HE SAID HIS BOSS HAD WANTED HIM TO GET ME A BETTER DISH ALIGNMENT BUT HE SAID IT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR ME AND I WOULD NOT SEE ANY PROBLEMS BECAUSE THEY HAD A POWERFUL SATELLITE.
KNOWING WHAT I KNOW NOW, I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED HIM TO REMOVE THE EQUIPMENT AND LEAVE!
I HAD TO RESORT TO EMAILING THEM FROM MY DIALUP ISP BECAUSE THE WILDBLUE SYSTEM WAS SELDOM ABLE TO CONNECT TO THE EMAIL SERVER. THE NORMAL LOG ON TO MY DISHMAIL EMAIL SERVER REQUIRES OVER AN HOUR TO GET PAST THE "YOUR CONNECTION TO THE SERVER WAS RESET!" MESSAGE.
THERE WERE 3 MAIN REASONS WHY I SIGNED UP WITH WILDBLUE INTERNET SERVICE. 1. THEY WERE SPONSORED BY DISH NETWORK WHICH I HAVE NEVER HAD TROUBLE WITH. 2. I WANTED TO BE ABLE TO USE THE INTERNET AND TELEPHONE AT THE SAME TIME. 3. ONE OF MY GRANDSONS HAS AN ILLNESS WHICH PREVENTS HIM FROM ATTENDING PUBLIC SCHOOL DUE TO HIS FREQUENT RETURNS TO CHILDRENS HOSPITAL FOR CHEMOTHERAPY AND OTHER CARE AND IS PART OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEMS INTERNET BASED CLASSES.
BECAUSE OF THE SLOPPY AND CARELESS INSTALLATION, THE INTERNET SERVICE THROUGH WILDBLUE WILL NOT MAINTAIN A SIGNAL LONG ENOUGH FOR THE LESSONS TO COMPLETE AND MY GRANDSON HAS TO RE-DO EVERYTHING EACH TIME WILDBLUE DROPS THE SIGNAL.
THIS IS NOT ALLOWING HIM TO DO HIS SCHOOL WORK. THE PHONE COMPANY JUST FINISHED INSTALLING A 2ND PHONE LINE FOR HIM TO CONTINUE HIS SCHOOL WORK. I AM WORKING TO ADD ANOTHER LINE TO HAVE INTERNET SERVICE SINCE WILDBLUE IS SUCH A VERY POOR COMPANY.
I HAVE HAD TO RETAIN MY DIALUP ISP SERVICE IN ORDER TO HAVE INTERNET SERVICE. I CAN NOT ALWAYS USE MY DIALUP BECAUSE I ALSO NEED THE TELEPHONE.
AFTER MORE THAT 100 EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS TO THE DIS-FUNCTIONAL AND COULDN'T CARE LESS WILDBLUE SERVICE, I FOUND AN EBAY LISTING OF A COMPLETE WILDBLUE SYSTEM SOMEONE HAD PURCHASED OUTRIGHT FROM WILDBLUE AND HAD MOVED TO A DSL SERVICE AREA AND NO LONGER NEEDED THE DISH INTERNET.
I BID ON AND WON THIS COMPLETE SYSTEM AND AFTER I RECEIVED IT, I USED THE MODEM TO REPLACE THE MODEM WHICH WAS INSTALLED BY THE KLUTZ INSTALLER.
AFTER DOING THE RESEARCH ON HOW TO REPLACE THE MODEM, I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE MODEM WHICH HAD TO BE RE-BOOTED DOZENS OF TIMES A DAY IN ORDER TO FIND THE INTERNET. DURING THE REPLACEMENT PROCESS, A WINDOW OPENED WHICH REPORTED THE MODEM I WAS REMOVING HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN REPORTED AS HAVING BEEN SCRAPPED.
NOW, DON'T ASK WHY I AM IN THE PROCESS OF HAVING A 2ND TELEPHONE LINE INSTALLED SO I CAN HAVE RELIABLY INTERNET SERVICE!
AS SOON AS THE PHONE COMPANY GETS MY EXTRA LINE INSTALLED, I WILL RIP DOWN THE WILDBLUE JUNK.

It only took me an hour to send this review, I kept getting the following message that you will get used to if you sign up with WILDBLUE;

HERE WE ARE AGAIN, IT IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY WITH NOT A SINGLE CLOUD IN THE SKY.
IT IS 72 DEGREES WITH A CALM WIND.. AND HERE I AM AGAIN USING MY DIAL-UP TO
GET INTERNET SERVICE!

WILDBLUE HAS LIED TO ME AND HAS NEVER ANSWERED ANY OF MY CALLS OR MY
EMAILS WHICH I BEGAN PLACING THE VERY NEXT DAY AFTER THE POOR INADEQUATE INSTALL OF MY DISH BY ONE WHO I WOULD NOT EXPECT TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET
BACK HOME WITHOUT HELP!

IN FACT, WHEN HE ARRIVED AT MY HOME 3 DAYS LATE IT WAS ONLY AFTER HE CALLED
THE 3RD TIME WHILE HE WAS "ON THE WAY" HE FIRST REFUSED MY DIRECTIONS
SAYING HE HAD A "GPS UNIT". HE CALLED THE 3RD TIME FROM A LOCATION ABOUT 20
MILES AWAY SAYING HE HAD ARRIVED BUT COULD NOT FIND OUR HOUSE!
DUH... IMAGINE THAT! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT IF HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO USE
A GPS UNIT I SHOULD HAVE CANCELLED RIGHT THEN!!

MY NORMAL MESSAGES I SEE EVERY DAY USING WILDBLUE ARE AS FOLLOW;

THERE SEEM TO BE HUNDREDS OF JACKS WAITING FOR THE OPERATOR TO PLUG
IN THE CORD FROM A CALLER.
WILDBLUE SEEMS TO BE OF THE SAME LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGY, THERE IS A
COMPUTER BASED OPERATOR THAT KEEPS MOVING THE ACTIVE WORKING CIRCUIT FROM JACK TO JACK EVERY FEW SECONDS TO SIMULATE A SERVICE WHICH IS BEING PAID FULL
PRICE FOR EVERY JACK ON THE PANEL EVEN IF IT CAN NOT COMPLETE A CALL WITHOUT
BEING UNPLUGGED ON A FREQUENT BASIS. THIS IS A WAY FOR WILDBLUE TO REAP VAST
AMOUNTS OF MONEY WHILE PROVIDING EXCESSIVELY LIMITED POOR SERVICE!
ON THIS SAME SUBJECT, IF YOU CALL THEM MORE THAN ONCE ON THE PHONE I BELEIVE
YOUR CALL RECORD IS ERASED AND YOU HAVE NEVER CALLED BEFORE COMPLAINING
ABOUT YOUR SERVICE PROBLEM.. HOW CONVIENENT FOR THEM !! THE PERSON YOU
SPEAK TO SAYS THEY CAN FIND NO RECORD OF ANY OF YOUR COMPLAINTS...

WHEN TRY TO USE THE WILDBLUE INTERNET TODAY THIS IS WHAT I GET;

AFTER BEING ABLE TO GET ON THE INTERNET WITH WILDBLUE
ON RARE OCCASIONS, I MANAGED TO GET TOGETHER WITH
SOME OTHER LOCAL WILDBLUE USERS.

WE LOOKED AT EACH OTHERS SYSTEMS AND MADE MANY
OBSERVATIONS OF EACH INSTALLATION.

THESE WERE EACH DONE BY DIFFERENT INSTALLER PEOPLE.

THE ITEMS THAT WERE MOST COMMON TO ALL THESE
SYSTEMS FOLLOW;

THE POLE MOUNTS WERE EACH AND EVERY ONE MADE
WITH A SECTION OF 1-1/2" THIN WALL "EMT" ELECTRICAL
CONDUIT. THIS CONTRADICTS THE SO CALLED WILDBLUE
SPECIFICATION NOTED BY A FEW PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM
WHO SAY THEY INSTALL WILDBLUE SYSTEMS. THESE SO
CALLED SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE MAST ARE IN ERROR
PARTLY BECAUSE THE DIMENSIONS GIVEN BY SEVERAL
OF THESE SO CALLED INSTALLERS IS TOO LARGE TO EVEN FIT
INTO THE DISH BRACKET THAT WAS USED. THE BRACKET
USED IS TOO SMALL TO FIT THIS MAST THEY ARE DREAMING UP.

NEXT, NONE OF THE POLE MOUNTS WHICH WERE INSTALLED
AT COSTS EXCEEDING $100.00 EACH WERE MADE WITH ANY
CONCRETE TO SET THIS IMAGINARY INTO. THEY WERE ALL
SIMPLY DRIVEN INTO THE GROUND WITH EITHER A HAMMER
OR AS SOME SUBSCRIBERS WITNESSED, WITH A SLIDE
HAMMER POST DRIVER AS YOU USE TO DRIVE METAL
FENCE POSTS INTO THE GROUND. EACH OF THESE POLE
MOUNTS WAS EASILY MOVED BY HAND AND WE HAVE
STIFFENED A FEW BY DRIVING 2 OR 3 OF THESE METAL
FENCE POSTS FROM TRACTOR SUPPLY INTO THE GROUND
AROUND THESE CHEAP CONDUIT MOUNTS. THESE FENCE
POSTS WE ADDED WERE ATTACHED TO THE CONDUIT BY
JOINING 3 LARGE WORM GEAR AUTOMOTIVE HOSE CLAMPS
TOGETHER AND CLAMPING THE WIGGLY WILDBLUE CONDUIT
MAST TO THEM. THIS $25.00 ADDITION HAS HELPED WITH
BEING ABLE FOR SOME TO USE THE INTERNET WHEN THE
WIND BLOWS. 2 OF THE PEOPLE ARE PLANNING TO HAVE
6 INCH POST HOLES DRILLED BESIDE THEIR CHEAP RIP
OFF WILDBLUE POLE MOUNTS SO THEY CAN MIX AND
POUR QUICKCRETE CONCRETE TO STIFFEN THEIR DISH
MOUNTS. WE PREFER THE METAL FENCE POSTS OVER THE
CONCRETE BECAUSE A FEW OF THE THIN WALL CONDUIT
POSTS HAVE ALREADY BEGAN TO RUST THROUGH AND
CONCRETE WOULD NOT PREVENT THE DISH FROM
FALLING OVER IN A FEW MORE YEARS.

NEXT WE NOTICED THAT ON SOME OF THE WILDBLUE DISH
INSTALLATIONS THERE WERE PARTS MARKED DIRECT TV.
THESE SEEM TO BE PARTS INTENDED NOT ONLY FOR
A DIFFERENT BRAND OF EQUIPMENT, BUT ALSO IT LOOKS
LIKE THE DISH BRACKETS USED WERE FOR THE LITTLE
18" SATELLITE TV DISH MOUNTS. I WONDER HOW MUCH
MONEY THESE INSTALLERS WERE SAVING BY USING
SMALLER OR OTHER PARTS THEY HAD ON HAND INSTEAD
OF PURCHASING OR USING THE INTENDED WILDBLUE
EQUIPMENT WHICH WAS "SPECIFIED"?

ON MY WILDBLUE INSTALLATION THE INSTALLER WHO
NEVER COMPLETED THE SYSTEM SO IT WORKED RIGHT
USED A SCRAP MODEM WHICH I LEARNED HAD PREVIOUSLY
BEEN REPORTED AS HAVING BEEN SCRAP. I LEARNED
THIS FACT DURING THE SETUP OF THE USED MODEM I
PURCHASED ON EBAY. NEITHER THE INSTALLER NOR
WILDBLUE HAS EVER DONE ANYTHING TO EVEN TRY
TO COMPLETE MY INSTALLATION.

ON MY SYSTEM THE 2 CABLES RUNNING FROM THE
DISH INTO THE HOUSE TO THE MODEM WERE NOT
TIGHT ANYWHERE. 1 CABLE HAD RADIO SHACK
PRINTED ON IT AND THE OTHER WAS MARKED AS
DIRECT TV. I REPLACED BOTH CABLES WITH CABLES
INTENDED FOR SATELLITE LNB USE AT 2 GHZ.
THE CABLES I REMOVED HAD SMALLER WIRE THAT DID
NOT FIT THE MODEM OR TRIA CONNECTORS SNUG.
THE SATELLITE CABLES I PURCHASED HAD LARGER
WIRE AND FIT SNUG WHEN PUSHING THEM IN TO
THE CONNECTORS TO TIGHTEN THE NUTS DOWN.

THE CONNECTORS ON THE DISH WERE NOT HARD TO
TURN, ONLY TOOK THUMB AND FINGER TO UNSCREW
AND HAD NEVER BEEN TIGHTENED PROPERLY. THIS
WAS NOTICED ON MOST OF THE OTHER WILDBLUE
DISH INSTALLATIONS AND WE HAVE A LOCAL CABLE
TV TECH WHO IS REPLACING SEVERAL OF THE POOR
CHEAP WILDBLUE CABLES WITH HIGH FREQUENCY
CABLES FOR ONLY $45.00 FOR TIME AND MATERIALS
FOR US. HE IS USING THE STURDY LOOKING LONG
THREADED CONNECTORS TO REPLACE THE TV ANTENNA
TYPE CABLES WILDBLUE USED.

WE CHECKED ALL THE THREADED FASTENERS ON THE
DISH MOUNTS IN OUR LITTLE GROUP AND WE WERE
AMAZED AT THE NUMBER OF LOOSE AND NEVER EVER
TIGHTENED NUTS. EVERY INSTALLATION HAD SEVERAL
LOOSE NUTS AND SOME OF THE TRIA MOUNT SCREWS
WERE ALSO NOT TIGHTENED.

ON TOP OF THE MAST POLES THERE SEVERAL OF THE
3 BOLT CLAMPS WHICH ONLY HAD THE CENTER OF THE
3 TIGHTENED. SOME EVEN TOOK ABOUT 10 TURNS JUST
TO GET THE NUTS INTO CONTACT WITH THE CLAMP
TO BEGIN TO NEED A WRENCH TO COMPLETE THE ASSEMBLY.
MOST OF THE 2 BOLT CLAMPS HAD BOTH NUTS SNUGGED DOWN
BUT IT WAS RARE TO FIND ANY FASTENERS WHICH COULD NOT
BE TIGHTENED AT LEAST A FULL TURN TO BE TIGHT.

THERE WAS A RANGE OF MODEM TYPES FOUND IN OUR
LITTLE GROUP. ONE HAD A COMPUTER POWER SUPPLY
INSTEAD OF THE "VIASAT" BRAND POWER SUPPLY. I THINK
IT SAID COMMODORE OR ATARI OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT
AND HAD A SPLICE IN THE CABLE TO THE MODEM WHICH WAS
INSULATED WITH PLASTIC ELECTRICAL TAPE. WE FOUND A
PROPER POWER SUPPLY FOR HIM ON EBAY AND I HEARD HIM
SAY HIS INTERNET WORKS A LITTLE BETTER NOW.

ALL OF THESE PEOPLE LIVE IN RURAL AREAS WHICH ARE
NOT SERVED BY CABLE OR HAVE THE DSL INTERNET
OPTION FROM THEIR PHONE COMPANY. NONE OF THESE
PEOPLE HAS EVER BEEN ANSWERED BY WILDBLUE ON
ANY OF THEIR COMPLAINTS OR REQUESTS FOR THEIR
SYSTEMS TO BE CORRECTED.

NOT EVERYONE HAS HAD A VAST IMPROVEMENT IN
THEIR WILDBLUE INTERNET CONNECTIONS, BUT A FEW
DID REALIZE MUCH BETTER ABILITY TO USE THE INTERNET.

SOME PEOPLE WE TALKED WITH HAVE OTHER SATELLITE
INTERNET COMPANIES AND HAVE SIMILAR PROBLEMS.
WE WERE ABLE TO ASSIST A FEW OF THEM IN CORRECTING
THE POOR INSTALLATIONS THEY HAD AND UNLIKE THE
INSTALLATIONS MADE BY UNLICENSED AND IGNORANT
INSTALLERS, WE AT LEAST CARE ABOUT TRYING TO DO
THINGS CORRECTLY. NONE OF US HAVE FCC LICENSES
AS THOSE WHO INSTALL SATELLITE EARTH STATIONS
ARE REQUIRED TO, BUT AS IN MY WILDBLUE INSTALLATION
WHICH WAS DONE BY AN UNLICENSED INSTALLER WHO
DID SUCH A POOR JOB, WE DO CARE TO DO THE VERY
BEST WE CAN SINCE THE ONLY THING WILDBLUE IS EXPERT
ABOUT IS TAKING OUR MONEY FOR LITTLE IN RETURN.

MY ADVICE TO EVERY READER ON THIS FORUM IS TO READ
EVERY POST AND ALL COMMENTS, BUT WHENEVER YOU
SEE A GOOD OR BETTER RATING FOR WILDBLUE, ASK
YOURSELF WHY SOMEONE WHO IS SATISFIED WITH
WILDBLUE WOULD HAVE THE NEED OR DESIRE TO

STATED THEY HAD BEEN RETAINED BY WILDBLUE TO DO
A CUSTOMER SURVEY ABOUT WILDBLUE CUSTOMER
LIKES & PROBLEMS.

I TOOK THE SURVEY AND ANSWERED IT IN A FAIR & HONEST
FASHION. I GAVE WILDBLUE WHAT THEY HAVE WORKED SO
HARD TO EARN, A TOTALLY NEGATIVE RESPONSE IN EVERY
CATEGORY.

DURING THE SURVEY, THERE WERE SEVERAL OPTIONS IN
WHICH TO ADD MY TEXT COMMENT FOR CERTAIN SUBJECTS.
AT THE FIRST INSTANCE, I ADDED MY WORDS AND AFTER
REACHING THE "SUBMIT" AREA, I WAS INFORMED THAT
I HAD USED TOO MANY CHARACTERS!

NOW, IF SOMEONE IS AFFORDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO
COMMENT WHEN THERE IS NOTED DIS-SATISFACTION, WHY
WOULD A SURVEY PLACE AN UNREASONABLE LIMIT ON ONE'S
NUMBER OF CHARACTERS???

I FEEL IT IS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT SINCERE IN THEIR
QUEST TO LEARN ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!

I RE-WROTE MY TEXT & FOUND A SHORT COMMENT WHICH
WAS NOT REJECTED BY THE SURVEY. I DID THE SAME AT EACH
TEXT ENTRY OPTION. AT THE END OF THE SURVEY I WAS ASKED
SINCE IT WAS OBVIOUS I WAS NOT HAPPY, WOULD I LIKE TO
BE CONTACTED BY WILDBLUE.

I RESPONDED WTH A YES.

THAT WAS ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO AND I STILL HAVE NOT
RECEIVED ANY REPLY FROM THEM OR WILDBLUE!

I HAVE EMAILED THE SURVEY COMPANY 4 TIMES SINCE
TAKING THEIR SURVEY AND NEVER RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE.

JUST LIKE WILDBLUE WHO I HAVE EMAILED WELL OVER 100
TIMES. I STARTED CALLING AND EMAILING WILDBLUE ON
THE VERY NEXT DAY AFTER MY HALF ASD INSTALL AND THE
ONLY THING THAT HAS STOPPED ME FROM DUMPING THEM
IS THAT EVERY NOW AND THEN WILDBLUE WORKS FAIRLY
WELL. WHEN IT WORKS FAIRLY WELL IT IS ABOUT 3 TO 4
TIMES FASTER THAN MY DIALUP AND IT WOULD BE NICE FOR
WILDBLUE TO ACTUALLY LIVE UP TO THEIR CONTRACT I
JOINED INTO WITH THEM. IT WOULD BE NICE TO BE ABLE
TO USE THE INTERNET WITHOUT TIEING UP MY PHONE LINE.

I STILL HAVE TO KEEP MY DIALUP TO HAVE INTERNET
SERVICE I CAN DEPEND ON WHEN I HAVE TO GET ONLINE.

I JUST PAID FOR ANOTHER YEAR OF DIALUP BECAUSE I
HAVE TO USE THE PHONE LINE IF I WANT TO DO MY
BANKING OR DOWNLOAD SOMETHING WITHOUT THE
FREQUENT DROP OUTS OR TOTAL LOSS OF INTERNET
SERVICE FOR DAYS AT A TIME AS WILDBLUE DOES AT
IT'S BEST.

A FEW DAYS AGO WILDBLUE SEEMED TO BE WORKING
FAIR. MY SPEED TEST SHOWED IT WAS RUNNING 3
TIMES FASTER THAN MY 28,800 DIALUP AND I STARTED
TO DOWNLOAD A CATALOG.

3 HOURS LATER I GAVE UP AFTER WILDBLUE HAD DROPPED
OUT NEARLY 40 TIMES. I WENT ON MY DIALUP AFTER
MIDNIGHT WHEN I COULD USE THE PHONE LINE AND
AFTER 45 MINUTES MY DIALUP HAD DOWNLOADED THE
50 PAGE CATALOG I WANTED. MY DIALUP NEVER DID
DROP OUT AND I GOT THE FILE DOWNLOAD COMPLETE
POPUP AND GOT IT WITH FAR LESS FRUSTRATION THAN
WILDBLUE.

MY GRANDSON IS BUILDING A NEW HOUSE AND JUST
EMAILED ME A DOZEN PICTURES OF THE PROGRESS.

HE SENT IT TO MY WILDBLUE DISHMAIL EMAIL ADDRESS.

I WAS NEVER ABLE TO OPEN THE PICTURES USING
WILDBLUE, I HAD TO USE MY DIALUP TO GET A GOOD
CONNECTION TO MY DISHMAIL ACCOUNT AND FINALLY
WAS ABLE TO GET THE PICTURES.

WILDBLUE SUCKS!

MANY MOVIE CHANNELS WHICH ARE AMONG THE HUNDREDS OF SATELLITE TV
CHANNELS WE HAVE AVAILABLE AT OUR HOME THROUGH DISH NETWORK.

WE HAVE WATCHED ALL THE NEWS CHANNELS THIS MORNING AND ARE LOOKING TO
SEE WHAT MOVIE OR SPECIAL INTEREST PROGRAMMING INTERESTS US ON THIS
DREARY DAMP DAY. WE HAVE NOT EVEN HAD A SINGLE SIGNAL DROPOUT FOR
WEEKS WITH OUR DISH NETWORK HOME SATELLITE DISH. THE PICTURE AND
SOUND QUALITY ARE CRYSTAL CLEAR WITHOUT ANY SORT OF INTERFERENCE
AND NOW WE BEGIN TO THINK OF CHECKING OUR EMAILS AND ALSO OF LOOKING
UP A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WERE INTERESTED IN WHILE RIDING THE MOWER
TENDING TO OUR LAWN.

YES, TODAY IS THE PERFECT TIME TO CATCH UP ON A FEW OF THOSE INTERNET

STRONGLY SUSPICIOUS THAT IT IS MORE PROBABLE THAT THE REASON BEHIND
THIS IS THAT THEY HAVE SOLD ME SERVICE WHICH THEY NEVER HAD. I THINK THEY
(WILDBLUE) SOLD FAR MORE SERVICE THAN THEY EVER HAD INTENTIONS TO PROVIDE.

I NOW THINK THE REASON THAT POOR WEATHER COMES INTO PLAY IS SIMPLY DUE
TO THE FACT THAT OTHERS LIKE ME ATTEMPT TO USE THEIR SERVICE ON THESE
DREARY "INSIDE" DAYS AND THERE IS NOT ENOUGH EQUIPMENT CAPACITY OWNED
BY WILDBLUE TO PROVIDE WHAT THEY SOLD TO US AND WE PAY EVEN WITHOUT
RECEIVING THE SERVICE WE PAY FOR!

ONE TENDS TO REMEMBER THE DAYS GONE BY WHEN THIS TYPE OF DREARY DAY
KEPT US INDOORS AND ALLOWED US TO DO THOSE INSIDE TASKS WHILE NOT
FEELING WE WERE MISSING OUT ON THE GREAT OUTDOORS. THESE DAMP DAYS
REMIND US OF THE WARM CRACKLING FIREPLACE DAYS WHEN WE ACTUALLY
DID ENJOY HAVING WARM HANDS AND TOES AND HAD NO REGRETS SPENDING
TIME COMPLETING TASKS SUCH AS WRITING LETTERS, READING THE MAIL, LOOKING

WILDBLUE SCAMMED US WITH OBVIOUSLY MORE DOLLARS SPENT BY THEM TO
ADVERTISE THAN THEY SEEM TO HAVE SPENT ON THE ACTUAL SYSTEM WHICH
COULD HAVE PROVIDED US WITH WHAT THEY ADVERTISED AS OUR SERVICE.

I HAVE DONE MUCH RESEARCH INTO JUST WHY THEY DO NOT DELIVER THE
SERVICE TO ME THAT I PAY FOR FROM THEM. I HAVE HAD TO DO MY OWN WORK
ON THE SATELLITE INTERNET EQUIPMENT BECAUSE WHEN THEY ATTEMPTED TO
INSTALL THE DISH AND MODEM, THEY QUIT AND LEFT AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN
THEM AGAIN. THEY DID NOT FINISH THE JOB AND REFUSE TO ANSWER ME IN
ANY WAY ABOUT THIS BREACH OF THEIR OWN CONTRACT.

I HAVE TO KEEP MY DIALUP SERVICE IN ORDER TO HAVE RELIABLE INTERNET
ACCESS. WHEN I GO TO MY COMPUTER TO ATTEMPT TO USE THE INTERNET I
NORMALLY MUST USE DIALUP ON 3 OUT OF EVERY 4 TIMES I WISH TO READ OR
SEND EMAILS OR DO SEARCHES ON THE WEB.

I WATCH THE LIGHTS ON MY WILDBLUE SATELLITE MODEM (THE MODEM I HAD TO
PURCHASE MYSELF ON EBAY AND INSTALL MYSELF BECAUSE THE MODEM THEY
INSTALLED WAS A BAD ONE WHICH HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN REPORTED AS SCRAP)
AND I SEE BOTH THE UPLINK AND DOWNLINK LIGHTS BLINK ON AND OFF ON THE MODEM WHILE THE
SYSTEM IS POWERED UP.

WHEN I AM ABLE TO USE WILDBLUE TO ACCESS THE INTERNET,
(EVEN THOUGH IT IS TOO SLOW TO EVER BE CALLED HIGH SPEED), I SEE THESE
LIGHTS BLINK ON AND OFF. WHEN I AM UNABLE TO ACCESS ANYTHING AT ALL ON
THE INTERNET, I STILL SEE THESE SAME LIGHTS FOR UPLNK AND DOWNLINK BLINK
ON AND OFF AS IF THERE WAS A CONNECTION TO THE SATELLITE.

THIS LEADS ME TO SUSPECT THAT MANY OF THE PROBLEMS WITH ME NOT BEING
ABLE TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET ARE OTHER THAN SIMPLY JUST THE EQUIPMENT AT MY HOUSE. I THINK THEY SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE THEIR SATELLITE OR THEIR GROUND BASED
EQUIPMENT AT A LEVEL OF CAPABILITY WHICH CAN PERMIT THEM TO OPERATE
AT THE LEVEL THEY HAVE SOLD TO ME AND COUNTLESS OTHERS WHO HAVE HAD
SUCH POOR SERVICE FOR OUR MONEY.

ON A DAY SUCH AS TODAY IS HERE IN THE RAIN WHILE WE WATCH OUR DISH NETWORK
SATELLITE TV WITH PERFECT RECEPTION, I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THAT WEATHER ACTUALLY
HAS ANY EFFECT ON OUR WORSE THAN POOR WILDBLUE SATELLITE INTERNET SERVICE.

DO NOT FAIL TO UNDERSTAND ME, I HAVE NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT OF MY WILDBLUE
INTERNET SERVICE BILL, I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE A SINGLE TIME PAYING THEM. AS
MANY TIMES AS I HAVE WANTED TO SIMPLY DROP THEM ALTOGETHER DUE TO THEIR
POOR SERVICE AND NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, I HAVE REMAINED AS A
WILDBLUE CUSTOMER. I WOULD HOPE THE DAY ARRIVES WHEN THEY COULD ACTUALLY
DELIVER THE SERVICE TO ME THAT I PAY THEM TO PROVIDE.

IF THEY COULD ACTUALLY PROVIDE ME WITH DEPENDABLE HIGH SPEED SATELLITE
INTERNET SERVICE I WOULD BE A VERY HAPPY PERSON.

WE AS A NATION ARE ENTERING AN ERA DURING WHICH WE WILL RETURN TO VISIT
THE MOON AND SOON AFTER WILL LAND PEOPLE ON MARS. I HAVE FAITH WE WILL DO THIS
AND MANY OTHER THINGS THROUGH THE USE OF HIGHER TECHNOLOGY AND LEARN
MANY MUCH MORE INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT OUR WORLD.

WITH THE EVER INCREASING USE OF TECHNOLOGY, IT IS VERY DISCOURAGING TO SEE WE

WILDBLUE BECAUSE IT WAS OFFERED THROUGH DISHNETWORK AND WE HAVE
NEVER HAD THE FIRST PROBLEM WITH DISHNETWORK.

DISHNETWORK LIVES UP TO THEIR CONTRACT WITH NO EXCEPTIONS OF ANY KIND.

TOO BAD WILDBLUE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AS MUCH AS DOES
OUR DISHNETWORK.

IT IS NOW POURING DOWN RAIN AND THE SKY IS FULL OF DARK CLOUDS AND I JUST
WAS ABLE TO GET ONTO WILDBLUE INTERNET! I THINK I AM ON TO THE REAL PROBLEM
THAT WILDBLUE JUST DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO SELL INTERNET SERVICE!
IT IS NOT WEATHER, THEY ARE JUST SELLING ME SERVICE THEY DO NOT HAVE!

IS THIS THE REASON I AM ABLE TO REACH FACEBOOK AND MYSPACE AND ASK.COM
WHEN I CAN NOT REACH DISHMAIL? IS THEIR EMAIL SERVICE ALSO OVERSOLD?

IS THIS THE REASON MY INTERNET DATA METER SOFTWARE TELLS ME I AM AT 15.6 KB/s ON
DIALUP AND ONLY 0.1 KB/s WHEN ON WILDBLUE?

WHY SHOULD I NOT RECEIVE A REBATE FOR EACH DAY I AM UNABLE TO USE MY GREATLY
OVERPRICED WILDBLUE INTERNET SERVICE?

WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DAYS THEY DO NOT PROVIDE ME WITH SERVICE?

WHEN THEY ARE SLOWER THAN MY 28,800 DIALUP, WHY SHOULD I PAY THEM FOR HIGH SPEED?

EVERY TIME I SEE A CERTAIN TV AD FOR HIGH SPEED INTERNET SERVICE BY SATELLITE
ON TV, I MENTALLY SUBSTITUTE PARTS OF THE SECTION OF THE AD WHERE THEY SHOW
PICTURES LOADING BY BOTH SATELLITE AS WELL AS DIALUP WITH MY DIALUP AS BEING
THE FASTER AND THE SATELLITE AS BEING THE "GUESS WHAT, YOU ARE STILL LOADING"

THE NEXT MENTAL CHANGE I MAKE IS TO HAVE THE NORMAL WILDBLUE MESSAGE STATING
"THE CONNECTION WAS RESET WHILE LOADING, TRY AGAIN?" POP UP ON THE SATELLITE
INTERNET VIEW ON THE AD!

HIGH SPEED INTERNET BY SATELLITE HA!
