Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul 1

We have a Shorkey (Shi-tsu - Yorkie) he is now 11 weeks old. We fed him Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul and after 3 weeks his fur lost its luster completely!! He was beautiful now hes dull and his hair soaks up water like a sponge to where before it almost repelled it at bath time. Now we started feeding him Iams smart Puppy. We hope to see results!! Also he began shedding really bad!! The mom couldnt feed him anymore at 4 weeks.. so we bottle fed him formula from the vet.. hes healthy and soooooo full of energy, I forgot puppies are so energetic!!
He loved the taste and like no tommoorw.. I think hes too fat myself, I really hope this new food helps his hair.

the food likely wasn't to blame at all. Puppy coats change several times within the first several months of their lives, especially with mixed breed, silky haired dogs like yours. If the Iams puppy food improved the appearance of his coat at all, it was just because the Iams food is coated with rancid fat.
