It may not be bad for all dogs, but I think everyone should be warned about the very high protein levels. My 11 yr old has eaten EVO for many years. She had a blood test frecently before going on some arthritis meds and the liver enzyme levels were very high. After a few weeks of liver meds not working, I took her off EVO and she's is improving, finally. I wish I had realized earlier. I hope I haven't caused her permanant damage thinking I was getting the best in high protein.

generally speaking, high protein doesn't damage liver function, old age damages liver function. High fat is more detrimental to livers than high protein is.
