Blue Buffalo Dog Food 3

I think BB is a good food, at least on paper, but I have noticed on the two different occasions that I tried to transition my dog to it that he begins to smell like rancid fat after eating it for about two weeks. Stools are pretty good and his energy seems pretty high -- I just can't figure out this smell that won't go away, even after bathing. The only way to get rid of it is transition him back off of BB.

Also, he does not like the small kibbles ("LifeSource Bits") that are mixed with the larger kibbles. He spits them out all over the place. When I mix Blue Buffalo with Orijen for trantitioning his food, ALL of the BB gets spit out next to the bowl and he only eats the Orijen. Maybe he prefers circles to triangles ... I dunno.

I'm cracking up at your comment about your dog spitting the 'LifeSource Bits' out on the floor. Both my Yorkie & my Bichon delicately pick these bits out of their food and place them on the floor. I wonder why they don't like them?

After many months of research, I selected Blue Buffalo as the premium food for my girls, but now I'm on the search again because they really do not enjoy eating it!
