DO NOT GET WILDBLUE INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had WildBlue hooked up on April 6, 2009. First off the guy couldn't even get it running so I had to end up doing it. I had to reload my computer just to get a connection. Fine. W/e. That was the least of my problems.

I got WildBlue so I could get a VOip phone, surf faster, watch videos, and play games online(xboxlive). I CAN'T DO ANY OF THESE!!

VoiP and online gaming don't work with satellite internet no matter what bandwidth you order. I can't watch videos because in 2 days of barely surfing and watching only a few short videos on YouTube and downloading about 10 songs, I have already used 22% of my bandwidth for the month!

I tried to cancel and have complained about all these things but they say its all in the customer agreement and there is nothing they will do except charge me $15 for 23 months!

It is ridiculous and definitely not worth it. I wish I had never heard of WildBlue!

Please take this the right way: duh!?

SatNet is only a handful of times faster than dial-up. Nobody in their right mind believes it rivals cable, which one needs to be playing online games or phoning home on the cheap.

But, as an alternative to dial-up, It Rocks!!!

I'm sorry you and I both live where cable/DSL is not available.

CJ. Your a piece of shit. You work for Wildblue. You are just like the company you work for. Even though I would never of voted for Obama, he is going to spend the money to wire every small town to receive hi-speed internet. CJ,you will be looking for another job. The only good thing my family has found good about wildblue is that the dish is good for sledding in the snow.

Hello...Just a word of advice to anyone considering any internet satellite service. Check with Verizon to see if their air card will work in your area (if they have cell service in your area, it will work). No dish to buy, and you get a cool usb device you plug in your laptop and you can use ANYWHERE! That's ALL you need! Speeds are much better than wildblue. (I used to have their service). About like DSL. It's $60 per month, but you save many $$$$ not having to buy the dish and all those boxes...etc. The Air Card is VERY reliable. Very happy - wish I Knew before I wasted hundreds on the dish.
