Turbo Tax by Intuit 1

The software is not bad, but I cant take the trickery with the e-file. It says the filing is only $19.00, but at the last minute it imposes a $29.99 charge. Turbox tax said it was a post charge and it will be refunded back, WRONG. After that, they didnt want to heard it, and didnt return my emails. The VP will post his comments, and he is nothing but a liar and a spin doctor. Do not buy this product. i am trying tax cut next year. There is nothing that gets me is when someone uses trickery to get money

Lugohang... I believe the $29.99 fee you refer to is on OPTIONAL fee called refund transfer that allows you to pay your preparation fees using the proceeds of your refund (instead of a credit card). If it's not this, then it probably is a state filing fee (which is prominently disclosed). When you elect refund transfer (not many TurboTax customers use this service), you must go through about 5 or 6 screens that provide full disclosure and then allow you to cancel or proceed with this transaction (that is handled by a third party bank). The service works like this. When your refund is processed by the IRS, the refund is direct deposited in a temporary bank account. The bank takes out your TurboTax preparation fee and sends it to TurboTax, the bank takes out their $29.95 fee, and then direct deposits the balance in your bank account.

If you inadvertently selected this bank service, I would be happy to have it refunded. Call our customer support and explain this to them. If necessary, tell them to forward your information to me and I'll personally ensure it is taken care of promptly.

You are correct in that I do post online comments extensively. It is my belief that I learn a lot what customers want by reading and listening to their feedback. I also believe there is a lot of misinformation out there that I feel compelled to correct. It is this engagement with our customers that keeps me grounded in reality.

I hope this information helps.
