CVS/Pharmacy 1

CVs is the worst place to work for! we had our busiest day today in a LONG time! and we are a low key store, today was SLAMMED. and it was truck day! I am always on truck day I am the only person that EVER works morning truck and I have no help. I ring register and work on truck, running back and forth all day long no help. But there are always 2 managers in the back working out of the same tote on the same aisle. and they dont have to be bothered with the register. the most they have to do is help a customer find something, or come get me change for the front. And then more than half the time that they come up to get me change they have an attitude. 2 of my mangers/shifts take 20 smoke breaks a day that last at least 5 minutes long each time. The customers are RUDE, half retarded and can't read for s%$#. I got a 16 CENTS raise after 3 years of working there. I wish I could quit so bad but of course I need money. I am looking for a new job but no luck so far. but they day I get out of CVS will be the HAPPIEST day of my life!! And I will NEVER shop there again after I do finally get to quit! The prices are ridiculous I honeslty don't know why ANYONE bothers to shop there! And wal mart is right next to my CVS, Id much rather shop at walmart where everything is at least 1 dollar less if not more! CVS sucks I advise you not to work there cause even if you like it at first, you will one day hate it so much that it literally makes you sick to your stomach knowing you have to work there day in and day out.

that sucks. that's how minimum wage jobs work. i was at blockbuster for almost 2 years. for the last like 6 months the kept telling me i would get promoted and get an awesome raise. i did training, went around different stores for tests n interviews, and worked so much harder, just for them to eventually say, sorry we can't afford to promote you. around that time i quit. and found a temp job that paid triple the amount for half the work!
so yeah really i posted this comment to tell you about the US census. they hire for a bunch of different stuff and depending on what job you get you can get paid anywhere between $13 to $18 an hour. just google census jobs i promise it will be so much better than cvs. but just a warning. it's only a temp job so you could work as little as 1 month or as long as a year, also depending on the job.

i call cvs can't value staff because that is exactly what they do they fire good managers and give no raises just to save a buck! What they need to do is better hiring of regional managers and district managers because they have no clue of their own on how to run a store. they would all fail if they had to run stores on their own with the hours and rate of pay they expect the stores to run on. I walked into a taco bell the other day and counted how many employees were on there was 13. a cvs on the average has 1 manager and 1 cashier, but regional and district managers expect everything to be done. Well miracles do not happen. Hope you do find a new job and get out of there, you will be much happier i know i am.
