Carole King 5

I went to the New York annex of the RRHOF today, and was shocked beyond belief that Patti Smith and Chritina Aguilara are in the HOF but Carole King is not. So many artists who got where they are by standing on Carole King's (and Gerry Goffin's) shoulders are in, but she is not. I mean, really, Madonna but not Carole King?! Patti LaBelle (no disrespect to her at all) but not Carole King?! I am going to look into how this could be, and start the process for her to get this recognition. I mean, she has been writing songs that other people made famous since the 1960's....she GAVE "You've Got a Friend" to her good friend, James Taylor in the early '70's when they were performing with their other good friend Joni Mitchell at the Troubador in L.A.....she GAVE it to him and suggested that he put it out as a single. This alone should earn her a place in the HOF.....she's a giant and she's one of the most talented singer/songwriters of my generation. This is a travesty and needs to be corrected.

How could Christina Aguilera already be in the HOF when she didn't start until the late 1990's? They don't induct anyone until after their debut is 25 years old.
