Nioxin
3
I tried using Nioxin about 10 years ago and used it until I finished the big bottle. I did not
notice any noticeable improvement. So I stopped. Today I bought the chemically treated one after my stylist swore by it...(of course I looked at her hair, and noticed her hair didn't seem to have regrowth....I am a skeptic by nature, and come on, hairstylist are trying to make commission! Of course they are going to try to sell you stuff!! I also bought the vitamins and ran home to compare the vitamin contents to the Trader Joe's Woman supplement for HAir, Nails and Skin, which only cost about $5- $7. The main ingredient you are looking for is BIOTIN-- Nioxin has 300 mg while Trader Joes' has 400 mg!!Trader Joe's has more Biotin and had more mg. of everything. I felt so ripped off. I then researched the Internet and found someone say , "Go to Walmart and buy the Biotin supplement of 5,000 mg , and anything lower really doesn't improve your hair regrowth. I don't believe a shampoo and conditioner and a serum can make a big difference if you are looking for noticable results. I am going to Walmart tommorrow, and try to use this Nioxin shampoo regimen again--with the vitamins. By the way, the Trader Joe's Women's supplement, did improve my hair, and my nails and skin...no hair fell out, but then again I hi-light my hair every 2 months, and blowdry it too...part of this problem is genetics...and you CAN'T change that. I just hate to pay so much $$$ in these hard economic times when it's not guaranteed...I'll try BIOTIN 5,000 and let you know my results. Hope this helps!
