Formerly practiced by the Romans and others in the ancient world, this was a technique of fortune-telling by reading the way the intenstines of a recently slaughtered animal looped and intertwined.

Entrail reading 1

Flip the mammal over and you have monotheism- the mutilation of child's genitals as proper initiation into the club! Whee!. . .a bizarre inversion but (creepily) not too far away from studying the entrails of mammals!
