Bob Stoops (Oklahoma)

reviewed by cpy82274

Bob Stoops has been head coach at Oklahoma since 1999. His teams are known for defense and won the 2000 BCS championship game finishing with a record of 13-0. Bob Stoops name is often mentioned when NFL head coaching positions become available but he has yet to make the jump. Under Bob Stoops Oklahoma finished 12-2 last season.

Bob Stoops (Oklahoma) 1

Bob Stoops has the least class of all coaches. His arrogance has cost him dearly in big games. The fact that he tried to score a touchdown, instead of kicking a field goal, last year against Florida is proof of that. His team also depends on running up the score because the defense gets tired and won't last the duration of the game.

A team has to be pretty damn good to even have the opportunity to run up the score. I'll give you the point that Oklahoma's defense didn't play well enough last year to make their leads feel safe, but Oklahoma didn't run the score up more so than any other top D-I football team. I just hope that you can acknowledge your hate for Stoops is because you are a Texas fan and not based on any objectivity.
