I have two friends who are attending UofP right now. I personally feel that they could do better. I sat here and proofread a paper for my friend and it was BAD. She has grammar, punctuation and sever structure error. I helped her correct them and then looked at her previous papers and was appalled! Not only did she get 100% on them but she passed the class and all I helped with was the last paper. How?? Her husbands was the exact same way and he had a different instructor.
If the person does not seem to belong in a class but instead needs a remedial class, why not make them take it?? I myself have to take introductory to elementary algebra, I make no bones about it, I am horrible with math! I will be paying for 2 lower math classes that my degree does not require because I need it. I for one am glad I had not chosen Phoenix.

I definitely didn't have your friend's teachers. I have always been praised for my writing at traditional colleges. At UoP I have been challenged to write precisely how the APA manual says. I have been challenged to make my writing more professional and readable.
