Quite comprehensive database of recorded music that includes reviews of albums, biographies of artists, details of who was involved in the recording and production of each album, and a superb ability to cross reference participants in any given review or recording.

It provides a chronological listing of all albums by artists with well written reviews on WAY more than the product that is being pushed by the major labels. Their weekly new releases update does an excellent job of covering a variety of genres, small label and independant releases as well as major label releases.

Does very little in the way of coverage of live music, but that's for some other web service I guess.
