Cox Communications 1

Customer Service is horrible. Internet connection is constantly timing out, to the point where we have to reset the cable modem every few days. Also, all of the HD channels, which I pay extra for, as well as some of the digital channels come in extremely pixelated (the customer service rep said it was called "tiling"). The first time I called to complain about this, they wanted me to have to pay extra money just to get a technician to come out and see if they could identify the problem. I told them that I was already paying for their service, and I shouldn't have to pay extra money to get the service to work properly. She didn't agree with my analysis. The problem continued for a few more weeks, so I called back. I am now waiting on a technician to come out (this time supposedly without an extra fee, although I will have to wait and see). If my apartment was facing a different direction I would have gone with Dish service or even DirectTV, even though I am not too thrilled about the contract length. But as it turns out I am stuck with Cox as my only option.
Also, whenever I call to complain about the internet going out all the time, the customer service personnel treat you like an idiot. I do network administration for a living, so I know about internet connections and how to identify where problems are coming from. But I still get talked to like I am the problem in the situation. I can't wait until I move so I can go with a different provider. There is a reason why their name is Cox.

you are a freakin moron. you do NOT pay extra for your hd programing.. and as for the problem with your cable what do you expect? you have a cell phone right? you pay that bill every month right? if you have problems with it you take it to get fixed and you get charged for it right? why dose everyone want something for free?!
