Isagenix

I bought into the Isagenix thing based on my parents who are in their late 50s. Both of them lost weight immediately and were singing the praises. No shock, their trainer at the gym was the one who sold them on it. Then she sold me.
I followed the program pretty spot on. I did the two shakes a day, no caffeine, no fast food, and a sensible meal. I also exercised just about every day, with heavy cardio (eliptical trainer and running) and weights. I did lose about 10 lbs. and a pant size. Then, I went camping one weekend and couldn't bring a blender. I decided that I wanted to be as good as possible, so I chopped up two large freezer bags of veggies, brought fruits, turkey sausage for the grille instead of hot dogs, etc. And I hiked for hours each day.
I came home 4 lbs. heavier.
Here is the real deal-your body processes liquid faster than it does solid. If I go to McDonalds and get a milkshake twice a day, and eat a sensible meal, I will still lose weight. Couple that with the large amounts of chromium in the products which speed up your metabolim, and then take one day a week where you don't eat anything at all, it is no wonder that you are going to lose it. You do not need to spend hundreds of dollars a month on the shakes, cleanse, Ionix Supreme, IsaFlush, etc. to get that result.
The funny thing is, if you question the people selling it about maintaining your weight once you reach it, they will say that you can cut back to one shake a day and one cleanse a month (at least what I've been told). So basically according to them, you have to stay on this diet forever.
The final straw was my acupuncturist telling me to get off of it. She said to make a lifestyle change, to stay away from frozen food, the soda, the fast food, and caffeine, and exercise and I would lose weight the right way.
