Orijen 1

I got my puppy this food is because I saw the tag says it's the best food I wanted to try it, two month ago we started this food for my puppy, she started terrible diarrhea, at fist I thought was something else so stopped all her other treats, but diarrhea still occurs daily, took her to the vet doctor check her poopoo doc asked me what I'm feeding her now, I gave a sample of dog food that is all I'm giving her because of the diarrhea she never had a treat for a month. doc said the dog food is too oily want me to change her food wait for few days and come back to check her poopoo, we switched to ProPac she is fine now never had another diarrhea after, now she can have all her treats back.
I don't know about dog foods only want the best for my dog, now we are not going to try new things again.

hi: I'm curious...what were you feeding before? How fast did you make the switch? Did you use a digestive enzyme on top of the food to help the dog be able to use the food? Also which formula did you try (lg breed pup, adult chicken, reg pup, fish, ?)
Also how did you decide on ProPac?
Just trying to learn from others. Thanks!

Hi. Orijen may have been too rich for your puppy's sensitive stomach. What type of puppy do you have? If you have a giant breed, I suggest you find a kibble with less of a protein percentage. I believe Propac has corn in it and is just plain junk food! I encourage you to find other high quality grain-free kibbles and there are a bunch out there. Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream as lower protein and may be right for your pup? Try a protein percentage in the 20's. It will be less rich for your pup.

Also, it is recommended that when you switch to a new kibble you want to slowly introduce the new kibble over a 2 week span. Introduce it slowly and gradually add more of the new kibble and less of the old kibble. Good luck!

Too rich for a puppy. Give it another try when your dog reaches adolescent or adult.

Acana Provincial is a sister food of Orijen. Its a Moderite protein instead of High protein. But still using the same regional ingredients. And its a life stages so no puppy food.
