I was surprised to find him not on the list, but like you say his music is not what I'd exactly classify as mainstream, whatever the hell that is now.

I think the closest he came was "Werewolves of London" (the alternate take I find to be better than the original), and even that was a bit "out there".

And I agree he should be there, though it should have been done years ago given some off the crap bands that are already infesting the list...
