Diamond Pet Foods 4

I have contacted this company about their re-call issues and pepered them with questions. No system is perfect. If we are HONEST with ourseleves, we have all made mistakens or fallen short in life. It isn't so much what happens as how you re-act and handle the matter. This company has instituted new safety checks and addressed the past issues. They do not use ingredients from asia, though they do use ingredients from Belgium, Germany and New Zealand where quality control is quite frankly Much higher than ours here in the US. I agree they deserve a chance. They are providing grain free foods at a cost that every dog owner can afford, nobody else is. I honestly don't feel that the re-call issues are all to blame on the companys. Afterall, most if not everything they were doing and have done was totally within the law. It was the government that let us down by not setting the standards higher and enforcing them. All of the correspondence I have received has been thorough and professional, but with that little touch that let me know they are real people too. The general products have fillers, BUT they start with meat meals which is more than Pedigree, Ol Roy, Beneful, and A LOT of other brands people seem to trust more.

Though I DO agree that Diamond makes some very worthwhile foods and that their aflatoxin recall was a fluke not to be repeated, the Original Diamond foods (such as this one) are of a lower quality than their comparably priced Diamond Naturals line, which is corn free.
