Wellness 3

When I first brought my gal home, I was giving her Wellness-Just for Puppy and she was fine on it. Her stools were ok. But slowly, she started to have some fur loss on her body and vet advised me to change her diet to a fish-based one, so I switched her out of Wellness. While on the fish-based diet, her stools were ok, nice and firm.

Recently, her skin got better, I tried giving her Wellness Puppy again by gradually mixing it into her fish kibbles. Then she started to have loose stools. Initially, I had attributed this to the changing of foods, as this can occur during the process. But during the week of feeding her Wellness, her loose stools continued and she also developed rashes on her body. Immediately, I stopped giving her Wellness and continued with her fish diet. Then her stools became firm again and her rashes went away.

I do believe that Wellness is still a much better brand than some others out there, but my gal cannot take it. Hence, I give it a rating of 3 stars.

I think your dog might be allergic to chicken, which is surprisingly quite common! you should try the wellness whitefish and sweet potato! It is a "single source" protein food especially for dogs who are allergic to other meats like chicken and beef.
