Yeah guru.com was a let down. I feel I have many skills to offer on and off site. I'm very good at researching...finding information on the web. I have experience finding and summarizing social science research articles and books...finding authors and information to contribute to research papers. I know how to search the web in many different ways (brainstorming keywords, websites, etc)...I diagnosed my husband's disease before his own doctor! And a number of friends have enlisted me to find information for them. I'm also skilled at computer programs including Word, Excel, Power Point, and data analysis programs like SPSS and Stata. I type over 60 wpm, and I can organize and present information professionally. Even more, I enjoy it! Anyway, I'm currently looking for full time work in the Northeast but I was looking for side jobs in the meantime and from what I've seen guru.com is not for me. Sorry to vent! Anyway Michelle, I hope you're doing well, its tough right now for all of us. Awesome to get a comment on my post though! Take care!

Thanks so much for posting this. I just signed up to Guru, but I decided to search for reviews before investing too much time on the site.
