Michael told me that if I did not have the documents in 15 days he will release me from the contract.
Phone call terminated by me

This company has a huge problem in their billing and customer service. I do not see how JD Powers and associates named Dish Network #1 in customer satisfaction. If my post doesn't prove to you that you should run to another company then you are one hard headed person. I never really had this much trouble out of Comcast. I think I will cancel Dish and tell them to stick their cancelllation fee up where the sun doesn't shine.

we're not going to waive the contract. ever. you shouldn't have set up service through a 3rd party retailer because nobody at dish would say that the 25 for 6 promo was for 12 months, we'd fail our quality analysis review. also, it sounds like we did everything to get you straightened out. but hey you're the kind of customer we all hate, you just can't be satisfied, I hope the cancellation fee screws your credit over.

@echo, that begs the question, if you don't stand behind your 3rd party retailers, then why are they allowed to resell the service. Despite what you seem to think, having to interact with customer service with as much frequency as noted above is a waste of a customer's time, not an indication of good service.

Hopelessly embittered vigilante employees are irritating. Fortunately, some of them get fired.

Echosucker again? Nice to see that you're trying to undercut third party retailers, the guys who BUILT Dish Network. Its okay though, your retailers are bailing on you and that's why Dish has had a net subscriber loss for consecutive quarters. Get your act together or Directv will win the HD war, Echosucker. I hope your supervisor reads your reviews here, by the way.

listen, third party retailers always screw up, their quality standards suck. every single time I get a call saying "my promotion was supposed to be different than what I got" I look at who set them up, and 10/10 times it's a retailer, and any dish employee will agree with me. retailers may have built dish up, but now they're destroying the reputation of the company. dish would be better off without them.
@ numbah: the wonderful thing about the internet is that it's anonymous, I can say whatever I want without any fear of retaliation in the real world :p
@ lena: I completely agree, I think retailers who lie shouldn't be able to sell the service, I've complained many times about this to many people including the director of my call center. unfortunately that's as much as I can do.

For six years have I done business as a THIRD PARTY, Echosucker, and I'm untouchable. Your in-house guys shouldn't even be allowed to hold my toolbag. Its okay though, you and they will all need to find a new line of work if you keep posting net subscriber losses like you have been of late. Check out Directv, they're hiring from what I hear.

@ numbah: so you're an 3rd party installer? that's completely different than 3rd party customer service

numbah16tdhaha commented 94 days ago.
Third party customer service is your fault as a company. I wouldn't farm out call centers. Retailers are hit and miss, but I always hit. As a result, so do my retailers. Your retailer rating system should weed out the bad ones better than it does, by the way.

it doesn't really sound like you know what you're talking about, retailers are NOT dish network, they are a completely separate company that as far as I can see will say anything to make a sale, even lie to the customer, these are companies like: go dish, e-management, altitude marketing, etc... we as dish network have no control over what they tell the customer, but we still have to be the bad guy and tell the customer the truth about what they agreed to by signing the contract, and yes, it sucks having to tell the customer that. but we can't ease up on our rules because the retailer lied because it is ultimately the customers responsibility to read the contract before they sign it. it's not our fault some customers are lazy and that laziness comes back to bite them a year down the road.
I wish we could take away some retailers license for selling dish, but unfortunately I don't have any say in that decision, so all we can do is deal with it until things get better

I cancelled Dish in August 2009, was told that my July auto pay was good til Sept. 12. They then charge me on August 20 2009 for Sept 12 to Oct 13 2009. Called talked with 3 people who said the new charge was for Aug. Cancel on them and they still charge you for no service. I have had double billings "free HBO" that they charged me for etc... I was acustomer for over 8 years and was treated like crap the last 2 years and I still can not stop them from charging me for service. Dish Network is a JOKE.
