Kirkland Super Premium Chicken and Rice 2

ATTENTION ALL DOG OWNERS. !!!!!! I USED THIS KIRKLAND CHICKEN AND RICE FOR 2 YEARS, WAS TOLD IT WAS GOOD FOOD AND THE PRICE UNBELIEVABLE. RECENTLY MY FEMALE TAZ HAD A CANCEROUS TUMOR ON HER BACK LEG. A MONTH LATER HER SON FUZZ HAS A LUMP ON HIS FRONT LEG. ALL 3 OF US DRINK BOTTLED WATER, SO I CAN ONLY SURMISE THAT THE FOOD IS THE CULPRIT. I WENT BACK TO SENSIBLE CHOICE, NOW ALMOST 50 BUCKS WITH TAX. I DECIDED FOR 50 BUCKS I MIGHT AS WELL MAKE MY OWN AND THEN I KNOW THEY ARE EATING GOOD!!!!!!!!! I AM RETURNING THE SENSIBLE CHOICE AND I BOUGHT 10 POUNDS OF CHICKEN THIGHS, 25LBS OF RICE, AND 10 LBS OF FROZEN VEGGIES FOR UNDER 30 DOLLARS, THANKS COSTCO. I WILL MAKE FOOD ONCE EVERY WEEK OR 2 AND REFIRGERATE AND FREEZE SOME. IF FOOD IS GONNA COST THAT MUCH, AND WHO KNOWS WHATS IN IT?, OUR DOGS DESERVE THE BEST! SCREW THESE COMPANIES CHARGING US ALL THAT MONEY FOR A BUNCH OF CRAP THATS KILLING OUR DOGS. UNITE PEOPLE AND MAKE YOUR DOG THE BEST FOOD POSSIBLE. !!!!!!!!!

You can't just spontaneously guess that the food was the culprit in a situation like that... the dogs are related, and many cancers are genetic. Even if there isn't a genetic cause, the dogs are in the same environment, potentially exposed to the same environmental toxins and carcinogens each and every day. Your second choice for a dog food, Sensible Choice, is actually a significantly lower quality than the Kirkland Signature, despite the higher price. And your plan for making your own food using chicken thighs, rice, and frozen vegetables is completely nutritionally incomplete, and will likely cause your dogs significant harm.

I agree. Sensible choice is significantly lower. My bf's and I both own weimaraners and these dogs are more prone to skin cancer than other breeds. He has been feeding them high quality dog food (canned and kibble as well as boiled chicken) and their 13 yr old breeder-bought weim has skin cancer.

Dog food isn't always the culprit especially if your dog has not shown other symptoms of aversion to the food.
