Bank of America 4

Sorry I had to trick you into stopping to read my letter by giving them a good rating. But Bank of America SUCKS!!!

I had a credit card from B of A and it was accruing a whole bunch of "points" over the many years I had this card due to my wifes over spending habits. I never cashed in any of the points because I was hoping to cash them in for a trip someday.

I had cosigned a loan for a friend and she missed a couple of payments, unbeknownst to me.

So I go to use my card one day and I was told the bank canceled it. I called B of A and they told me that my credit rating dropped so they had to cancel the card. I argued that I've made everyone of my payments ontime and in full every month. Sometimes as high as $3500 and they should base their decision on that. They apologized and said "company policy". I then told them "Fine, send me the cash for my bonus points" and they said because my card was canceled I wouldn't be able to get my points. After going through Managers and so on. I came to the conclusion that I can't win and resigned to that fact. I would just lose the over $600.00 I had accrued over the years. It left me with a feeling of just getting robbed.

A couple of month's later same thing happened to me with American Express. A company I had always felt had my back and was always supporting me. I had asked about the cash that was saved up in my account and they told me the exact same thing as B of A.

A few months later I got a check and a letter of apology from Am Ex. Which made me feel that at least they are an honorable company. Unlike B of A. Who will take any opportunity to screw you and hide behind company policy like a a bunch of rich cowards, spending my hard earned money.

Right is right and thats pretty chicken.

I've been checking reviews of other banks and it seems like it's a crap shoot. I feel I should start hiding money in my mattress. The money they make off you and the appreciation for that, just isn't there.

I really don't have any problems with their other products.

I think a brilliant, ambitious Lawyer should seek a class action suit against them for some type of credit card fraud. I'll be first in line to sign up.

Wait, your telling us that you are mad at the bank because of your own personal mistakes? And yes, mistakes is the correct term. You Financially obligated yourself on behalf of someone else and did not bother to ensure that everything was going correctly??? Also, if you even bothered to read the CC agreement, you would have clearly saw that any 'rewards' you may have earned would be lost if the account were closed. And as far as 'your money', it was never YOURS. There just happened to be a reward system in place that you could take advantage of and convert the 'points' into a tangible asset such as cash, in accordance to the agreement that you signed. Your AMEX apparently had a different agreement set up with you, which is why you received your 'money'
