He's already tried and failed. To me that shows that he's not a viable candidate.

That's a pretty ignorant statement. Have you ever heard of Nixon, Reagan, George HW Bush, LBJ, or Andrew Jackson? They all lost their first go-round and then went on to become president, some for 2 terms.
