This rating is a preemptive strike just in case I do...





BTW, Bill, nice marketing strategy rolling out a SP (2) for Vista a few weeks before the release, or should I say escape, of Windows 7. Remind the folks just how truly shitty the previous OS was...


Update:

Loaded, runs reasonably fast, Aero still blows as does UAC, though you can tone down the freakin' hollering this time without disabling it, all of my currently loaded apps run fine (have the 64bit version). Much faster than Pista, though I never cleared out the bloatware from that aforementioned piece of shit and I haven't loaded any virtual machines or the 200 or so apps I need to have so it's still an experiment in progress. Got Ultimate (Gold) from a buddy who's an M$ rep. I'd rather have Snow Leopard, but I'm running an AMD processor, so that's going to take some work (Can you say hackintosh?). Soon as I weed out the bugs from 7, I'll start on SL.

Still, it doesn't suck so that's a plus...

I love it when people review things that they haven't actually had any experience with. ESPECIALLY when the first sentence is "I haven't loaded it".

I mean all that just to be able to write the world Pista? How witty.

well i'm glad there was an update. You know me Lena..how it drives me up the wall when people review things before actually knowing anything about it. It's a gift and a curse :(

LOL! Nice strategic retreat, Jughead! I mean the friggin' word "Update" was only in the middle of the review, by its lonesome, yet somehow you managed to bypass it and focus on "Pista".

Word of advice: Take your head out of your ass long enough to comprehend what you're reading before commenting on it.

I didn't see an update till Lena pointed it out. So maybe I did post after. I guess after I read the first three sentences I got the itch to comment. I wouldn't consider it a pissing match, just me commenting about my pet peeve.

You know that you should always put the update on top btw. And if you haven't tried a product, you shouldn't write about it at all, even if you plan on doing so in the future..maybe wait till then?

Now if you excuse me I'm going to go write my review about test driving a Ferrari 430 scuderia. No worries, I'll put an update up as soon as I have a chance to drive one.
