For the last three years, Hughesnet has been an expensive nightmare for my family. Tech support is non-existent. After spending way too much to upgrade to the 9000 modem, they now have wiped out my email address. I do not exist to this company even though I continue to pay way above market price for their lack of service. My wish for them is that they just go away and stop mistreating customers. Ditto.....We started out with the HN9000 but it had to be replaced 6 months later at our expense!!! We bought air cards from Cricket. Connection is slower but ALWAYS there. And we pay month to month. Somehow Hughes Net debited my bank account 3 times in a row one month. They said they were sorry but couldn't do anything about it and I wouldn't have to pay for two months. This is in addition to talking to customer non-support for hours on connection problems! My husband got on the roof and tossed the satellite dish on the ground! Out $500 but feeling so much better.
