Charter Communications 3

If I could give 1/2 stars, I'd say 2 1/2 stars warrrents my rating. Let me begin:

I personally have never had too many problems with customer service. Whenever I had a problem with any of my products, usually a tech would show up and fix it and the techs that have shown up at my house usually had the problems fixed. The service itself that I invest in works just fine.

I can say that I am not impressed with the overall pricing. Charter is way too overpriced for the services they have to offer and the bundle package does not save me that much money in the long term(this package is only short term).

Once thing that is a real annoyance to me is that these salespeople come to my door about every other day trying to get me to upgrade my services when I don't want to. Needless to say, their sales pitch is horrible. "you can get charter phone with this package". I tell them I have a cell phone with more features for a cheaper price. "Oh ya, you're right you shouldn't get this phone" What kind of sales pitch is that??

If Charter wants to keep customers and intice new customers, then here is what I suggest:

1. Get NFL Network. There are lots of people screaming for this channel. Dump other channels like The Jewelry Channel, all those Nickalodian channels, all those hispanic channels, etc. Do we really need the Jewelry Channel??

2. Let customers build their own channel lineup with channels they like and want. I would dump the Nickalodian channels in favor of the 3 college sports channels, but could care less about Fuel TV. I think that would not only keep customers happy, but intice new customers as well.

3. Dump the Charter phone. Most people nowadays have cell phones and do not need a landline any longer.

These are some suggestions that I think could help if Charter wants to stay in business. Oh ya, these deals that bind you to a 2 year contract doesn't sit well with me either.

Hello futurechamp9,

I wanted to thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Hearing from our customers is the best way for us to continue to improve.

Charter and NFL Network keep the lines of communication open and continue to talk.

A la carte programming is an topic that’s bigger than just us – it is a programmer and provider issue, and one that would drastically change the existing business model. There are benefits to the existing package and tiered approach offered by providers today, and there could be benefits from an a la carte approach, but it’s a complicated issue that requires balance diversity of programming, etc…

Discussions and debate continue in the industry, with customer choice and control at the forefront.

Charter Telephone is a good option for customers who are concerned about going over their cell minutes, don’t have the best cell reception, or just want to pay less than traditional local providers. It provides unlimited instate and state-to-state calling at a very reasonable rate, which can often help reduce the cost of their current cell phone package.

Charter’s Price Guarantee packages are great for customers who want stability in their package of services. Ensuring that the price will remain unchanged for 24 months provides that stability. They are certainly not the only packages available for our customers; just another option.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at Umatter2Charter@chartercom.com.

Thanks,
